It is important to us that you are able to attend your in person sessions in a comfortable environment while still ensuring that you are safe and protected from the risk of COVID-19 infection.
We have a robust cleaning process prior to and after each session utilising disinfectant anti-bacterial sprays and surface cleaners.
The seating within the room will be arranged at a distance in accordance with government guidance.
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us or discuss with your therapist at your session.
We will not currently be able to offer drinking water, but please feel free to bring your own should you require.
Please note the following procedures for attending sessions at our service while government guidance remains in place:
Online sessions are offered through a confidential and secure service provider that specialises in online therapeutic video-call settings. You can join a session using a link through the web browser on any device. The link will be provided to you by your therapist. You will not be asked to download or register for any software, nor will you be asked to share any confidential information. Your therapist will provide you with easy to follow instructions on how to connect to the session. Your sessions will be held weekly in your allocated slot as agreed at your assessment.
Telephone sessions are offered by your therapist using your mobile or landline phone. Your sessions will be held weekly at your allocated slot as agreed at your assessment. Your therapist will advise you of their number and you will be able to call them at your appointment time to start your session. If you are unable to make outgoing calls, please discuss this with your therapist as they might be able to call you instead - however please note that this might incur a minimal call charge.
During lockdown or in the event of being assigned Tier 4 designation we encourage you to consider changing to online sessions with your therapist. This will be offered using a confidential and secure online therapy portal that can easily be accessed using the web browser on any device. Online sessions might not feel as comfortable as in-person sessions but many clients quickly grow used to them and are able to return to in-person sessions as the tier reduces or lockdown is lifted.
Should you however not have the facility to make use of online or telephone sessions - often due to not having a safe and confidential space available at home - you can continue in-person sessions with your therapist. You will however be asked to sign a waiver in which you acknowledge your understanding of the risk and that you are not classed as 'vulnerable' or 'high risk'. In some instances it might be recommended to put sessions on hold during lockdown or Tier 4 to ensure your health and safety. Your session slot will be held for you and you will be able to restart as normal upon lockdown or tier reduction.
